Optional Laugh & Learn Sessions & HUMORetreat Play Time
Throughout the weekend, there will be a variety of optional learning sessions including:
- Funtastic Videos of previous conference speakers on health care, education, business, etc.
- HUMOResources on-site bookstore will have a vast collection of excellent books, tapes, and props available for purchase.
- John/Jill Hancocks: Book-signing and photo-op sessions with presenters throughout the weekend.
- Close to Ho-Ho-Home: Special session on "The Lighter Side of Work: Laughing Your Way Through Your Work Daze" and book-signing with John McPherson, internationally syndicated cartoonist whose CLOSE TO HOME is seen by millions of readers every day in 700 newspapers.
- Humor Summit: Best/jest practices of humor and creativity in a variety of fields and professions.
- Search for Humor Research Of special interest for people doing research, theses, dissertations, and papers on humor.
- Think Tanks & Table Talk Topics on a variety of themes to encourage networking.
- Meet, Greet, and Eat: Did you come to the conference by yourself? We will all be sharing meals together in the same dining hall, which will make it easy for you to connect with fellow travelers.
- Cartoon Museum will have a traveling exhibit at our event. Comic curator Stan Burdick will also give a talk on his 50+ years of cartoon collecting and will share fun factoids about famous cartoonists.
- 6 in 60 Senses of Humor: 6 conference registrants will share their skill and wisdom during a 60-minute session.
- HUMORetreat Play Time throughout the weekend, there will also be time for you to get some R&R as you take advantage of all that Silver Bay and the area have to offer.
