This is a great site. I chuckled as I browsed. I need a good laugh to end my day too.

I am just beginning research on "Fun at Work." I have read a lot about this in private organizations (business) but nothing much in the realm of government. I will complete my Masters of Public Administration next May and I'm writing my thesis on this subject. Anyone out there that knows of literature regarding fun in government? I know its a long-shot--but someone has to inject the government too! Email me at lhunt@iwinet.com

I love your new site! I first found the Humor Project right after my sister (my soul mate) died and I needed some assurance that there was still laughter in the world and you helped provide that reassurance.

I believe laughter heals and also provides positive fuel for everyday living. Thank you

Humor has been a wonderful tool in my
work in substance abuse treatment and
prevention. From my last job at Kansas
Oldest Bed and Breakfast, aka
Lansing Correctional
Facility, to my current work at a High
School, I keep learning to take my
work more and myself less seriously.
From Simon Sez in the Maximum Security
Yard to Magic Tricks in the High School
Commons, I have found the importance
of keeping it lightly, whether at work
play or play play. For more information
on my nearlynormal take on life check

I keep the Humor Projects Laffirmations
book close to me each day.
YOU all are appreciated

Humour is so important to me that I subscribe to as many joke and humour e-mails as possible. I can?t check my e-mail every day, but when I do ? what a treasure trove I have waiting for me!

Perhaps our most precious sense is our sense of humor, we can adapt to the absence of our other senses, but the lack of a sense of humor is truly a tragedy.

This is a wonderful project for such much joy is shared with the world at large, at least with people who have access to the web. Thank you so much for the enjoyable moments I just had after reading the piece by Linda Welsh.

I found you through "Site of the Day," A very happy event! I collect humor from a variety of sources going back more than 50 years. Nothing professional about it - I just like to laugh! I even cut out some of the newspaper comics sections when I am particularly amused. I have a box full of them! Have considered scanning them into memory, Have neither enough time nor momory.

Hello! I went to a conference on Humor presented by Dr. Joel Goodman in Rochester, Mn. approximately 15 years ago. My ribs ached for 4 days from laughing so hard! But more importantly, I was able to utilize what he taught and learned to "laugh around" a very sad and difficult time in my life. I am able to look back, not at the tragedy, but at the wonderful memories I had with my children and friends. I hope that someday I will be able to go to a Humor Conference in Saratoga, NY. That would be a trip that I know I would value above any other!

Oh! I forgot to mention that I heard about you from EMazing.com and I wanted to say that I have used humor to encourage folks across "the pond". I accidentally sent an e-mail to someone in England in Oct, 1999, and we have kept up a correspondence ever since. She works for a sister company of the one I do, and last May, I had the opportunity of going to Birmingham, England to visit her! What a trip! They (the folks she works with) bent over backward for me. Took me anywhere I wanted to go. One of the girls' husband even took off time, and took me to Wales! I was absolutely flabbergasted! I shall remember them as long as I live, and I send them goofy stuff all the time to keep their spirits up. All because of a mis-directed e-mail. I sent them a cute thing on what kids say about the Bible. For instance, Lot's wife was a pillar of salt by day, and a ball of fire by night! ha!

I still have that if you would like for me to send it.

Smilingly,
Rita Cantwell, Jackson, MS

I just wanted to thank you for the interviews with Steve Allen, Victor Borge, and Charles Schulz. What talent we have loved and lost over the past few years! It boggles the mind. I'm still not over the loss of Jim Henson! Then there is Flip Wilson, and so many more. But, Jim and Charles were the mainstays of our family. Kermit and Miss Piggy, and Snoopy! Their creators are sorely missed! Thank you so much for creating this website, for we shall have them for many years to come by visiting often. Sincerely,
Rita Cantwell, Jackson, MS
